Meditation Mondays - Wisdom and Faith

"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given to him." James 1:5

When I looked up the words wisdom and faith this is what it said. Wisdom, knowledge and good judgement. Faith, strong belief in God and trust.

He pours out His wisdom! When we need wisdom for our life we can run to the Lord. Don't ask for wisdom and then ignore the wisdom He has already given.

Do not doubt! Ask in Faith!

We wrestle with things nut we know Jesus is still the answer. Pray with faith without doubting or worrying.

He is generous and loves to help His children.

We shouldn't be afraid to ask God for wisdom. Doesn't matter how much or how often. Just come to Him in faith., knowing that He is the answer.

Blessings and Shalom.

Worship Wednesday - Never Fail

Isn't it awesome to know that the Lord is with us and God is for us and He will never fail? I have been listening to this song on repeat for the last hour. I love that He conquered death and given us the victory. So I encourage you to listen to this song today. Let it be our theme and anthem for this week.

Our strength is renewed
In your presence
As we wait on you
Our Joy is restored
In your presence
As we worship you
Our faith cannot be shaken
Nothing can separate us

[CHORUS:]
The lord is with us
The lord is with us
Our God is for us
He will never fail

Our hope is revived
In your presence
As we sing to you
Your word comes alive
In your presence
As we trust in you
Our faith cannot be shaken
No one can separate us

[CHORUS]

Heʼs defeated all
Of our enemies
Heʼs put all things
Underneath our feet
He has conquered death
And given us victory

[CHORUS]

Every step we take
The Lord is with us
Every move we make
The Lord Is With us

[CHORUS]

Meditation Monday - Count it all Joy

"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness." James 1:2-3

Steadfast when I looked it up in the dictionary means true, firm, unwavering. We all face trials in this life. They are used to prove our faith.

Count it all joy! It's hard to find joy when we face hard times and trials. I think that's only normal. We should look at the trials joyfully because we know that God is with us. God is doing something in us and through us.

Remember trials always have a purpose! God uses trials for our good and His glory. He wants us to be more like Him.

One thing that I remember when I face trials is that Jesus has gone before us and we can hope in Him and ask for His perfect strength and wisdom.

Blessings and Shalom,

Worship Wednesdays - Let Them See You

This song has been my theme lately. I want the world and the ones around me to see Christ living in me. Every thing I do and say I want them to see Him living in me. Stop and think about this! Take time right now and say from now on I want everyone to see Him come through me. Have a blessed day.

Take away the melodies
Take away the songs I sing
Take away all the lights
And all the songs You let me write
Does the man I am today
Say the words You need to say

Let them see You
In me
Let them hear You
When I speak
Let them feel You
When I sing
Let them see You
Let them see You
In me

Who am I without Your grace
Another smile, another face
Another breath, a grain of sand
Passing quickly through Your hand
I'd give my life, an offering
Take it all, take everything

Let them see You
In me
Let them hear You
When I speak
Let them feel You
When I sing
Let them see You
Let them see You
In me

With every breath I breathe
I sing a simple melody
But I pray they'll hear more than a song
In me, in me

Let them see You
In me
Let them hear You
When I speak
Let them feel You
When I sing
Let them see You

Oh, let them see You
In me
Let them hear You
When I speak
Let them feel You
When I sing
Let them see You
Just let them see You in me
Let them see You

Meditation Mondays - Servant of God

As we begin reading the book of James how does he introduce himself? He identifies himself as a servant of God even though he was the half brother of Jesus.

My prayer is that I live my life for Christ and be a witness. I want His light to shine through me so that others see that it's Him living inside of me.

As I was studying for this post I looked up the definition of the word servant. It said "a devoted and helpful follower or supporter." What we should be is a tireless servant of God.

Thought for you:
Are you a servant of God?
How would others describe you?
Would they know you are a servant by your actions?

Prayer is Important

Prayer is an important part of your spiritual walk with God. Just like you talk to your friends to build a relationship and know more about them you need to do the same with God. Sometimes you may think it's hard to pray or you don't know what to pray for. Let me tell you that you can talk to God about anything at any time.

Some people think that prayer is only for when you have a decision to make or something major happening in your life. The truth is you need to pray all the time. Even if nothing major is happening. You need to have that connection with God. Prayer changes you.

When the movie War Room came out and I went to watch it let me just tell you that it changed my perspective on prayer. Prayer is a powerful weapon! God is listening to you. Even if you can't find the words to say He knows your heart.

One of my favorite Scripture Verse is: "because He bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath." Psalm 116:2 Another verse I love is: "don't worry about anything; instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done." Philippians 4:6

I encourage you to keep a prayer journal. Write down your prayer requests. Here are a few ideas of what I do in my prayer journal.

1. Write a master list. Write down the names of all the people you want to pray for. I am still adding to my list as I meet new people.

2. Write down specific prayers for certain people. For example, mother, father, sister, brother, grandma, grandpa, spouse, etc.

3. Keep a place to write down the prayer requests that others ask you to pray for.

4. Write down your own prayers. What is on your heart. What you are feeling.

I hope this post encourages you to seek a prayer life. I promise you that it will help you in your walk with Christ. So as I end this post I just want you all to know that I pray for each and every one that reads my blog. I pray that God will use me and my posts to encourage you. I pray that He will help you get through whatever you may be facing. He is the only one that will ever love you unconditionally.

Blessings and Shalom,

Worship Wednesdays - Great is Our God

This song is a perfect song for worship. Our God is great and we need to proclaim with our voice just how great is His worth. Let this be our prayer today as we start a new month. Have a blessed day!

Come let us praise Him
Let us kneel at the throne of our God
Through His son our salvation was bought
With mercy and grace
Come let us bow down
In His hands are the depths of the earth
With one voice we proclaim His great worth
Lord our God

And we will seek Him
Our rock of salvation
Morning by morning
With thanksgiving we come
And we will bow down
With creation we cry out
In daylight and darkness
We sing to the Lord

Great is our God
Great is our God
Great is our God

Lord of all nations
We will stand at the end of our days
In Your courts and declare Your great ways
In spirit and truth
We long for Your kingdom
Bring Your thunder and gather the earth
All who tremble will tell of Your worth
Lord our God

[x2:]
And we will seek Him
Our rock of salvation
Morning by morning
With thanksgiving we come
And we will bow down
With creation we cry out
In daylight and darkness
We sing to the Lord

Great is our God
Great is our God
Great is our God
Great is our God
Great is our God
Great is our God
Great is our God

Come let us praise Him
Let us kneel at the throne of our God
Through His son our salvation was bought
With mercy and grace
