Worship Wednesdays - Refine Me

Refine Me
Your so patient with me
Faithful and sure
To make me into something better
You know prayers that I've prayed
The tears that I've cried

Lord you know my heart's desire
Oh, to know You
To be more like You

Do what You need to
Help me to trust You
Even if Your love brings me suff'ring
Help me to hold on
To know that You're strong enough to see me through completely

Refine me

Your joy will be my strength
while I'm in these flames
I'm becoming Your reflection
Your kindness will be my song
Though I'm not alone,
Your presence is my consolation

Oh, to know you
I'm longing for you

Do what you need to
Help me to trust you
Even if Your love brings me suff'ring
Help me to hold on

To know that You're strong
Enough to see me through completely

Refine me
Oh God! My God!
Refine me
Oh God! Merciful God!

All for Your glory,
All for my good
To know Your love much deeper
Than I thought I ever could

Refine me, Oh!

Do what You need to
Help me to trust You
Even if Your love brings me suff'ring
Help me to hold on
To know that you're strong
Enough to see me through completely

Refine me,
Oh God! My God! Please!
Refine me,
Oh God! Merciful God!

Your so patient with me
Faithful and sure
To make me into something better.

Meditation Mondays - What Does God Want

Today let's talk about What Does God Want? That is a hard question to ask.

We as humans want to do what we want, when we want it instead of waiting and asking God. I know I struggle with this everyday. We need to let go and let God have control of the wheel. We need to let God take the lead because we can't do it on our own. We loose our way when we think we know better than God. We need to spend time with God and be still and listen for His voice. Now I am talking not just to you all but to myself too. I struggle with know what God wants me to do. Maybe you are at a point in your life that you are wondering Why am I here? What can I do? Please know that life is an adventure and God is our Guide and Teacher. He knows what is best for us and when the right time is even if we think it's not. So God, what do you want to do today? We need to trust Him because He knows what is best for us.

Worship Wednesdays - Thy Will

As I write today's post. It is almost over but this song has been an inspiration to me lately. No matter what happens I want God's Will to be done. It may hurt at times and i may not understand but I want His will to be done. I love the bridge of this song. It talks about God's plans for us and that He has goodness in store. He see us and hear us. Blessings as you listen to this song.

I’m so confused
I know I heard You loud and clear
So, I followed through
Somehow I ended up here
I don’t wanna think
I may never understand
That my broken heart is a part of Your plan
When I try to pray
All I’ve got is hurt and these four words

Thy will be done
Thy will be done
Thy will be done

I know You’re good
But this don’t feel good right now
And I know You think
Of things I could never think about
It’s hard to count it all joy
Distracted by the noise
Just trying to make sense
Of all Your promises
Sometimes I gotta stop
Remember that You’re God
And I am not
So

Thy will be done
Thy will be done
Thy will be done
Like a child on my knees all that comes to me is
Thy will be done
Thy will be done
Thy will

I know You see me
I know You hear me, Lord
Your plans are for me
Goodness You have in store
I know You hear me
I know You see me, Lord
Your plans are for me
Goodness You have in store
So

Thy will be done
Thy will be done
Thy will be done
Like a child on my knees all that comes to me is
Thy will be done
Thy will be done
Thy will be done

I know You see me
I know You hear me, Lord

Meditation Mondays - Who I am in Christ Matters the Most

As I was praying about what to write today God laid on my heart to write about this. As you grow from a small child into an adult you will find times when you struggle to find your place in this world. Everyone wants to fit it. Everyone wants to know who they are and what they are meant to do or be. A scripture verse that comes to mind is Colossians 3:1-4. In those verses it tells us that who we are in Christ matters more than what other people tell us about ourselves or what we think of our self. We are meant to live for God. We are meant to be His hands and feet. We are meant to share the love of Christ with everyone we meet. Yes we aren't going to please everyone. The only person worth pleasing is God Himself. So I encourage you today to take some time and think about what I said. You are special and even though you might not fit in with what the world thinks you should be remember that God thinks you are perfect just the way you are.

Blessings and Shalom,

Worship Wednesday - What If We Were Real

This song was one of my go to last summer. I was going through some rough spots and was struggling with being fake. I kept telling everyone that things were going fine and I would smile when inside I was falling apart. We just need to be real and honest with each other. Hope this encourages you today. Share your brokenness and how you feel instead of hiding it.

Well, I'm tired of saying everything
I feel like I'm supposed to say
I'm tired of smiling all the time
I wanna throw the mask away
Sometimes you just have a bad day
Sometimes you just wanna scream
Tell me I'm not the only one
Tell me that you feel just like me

We keep tryin to make it look so nice
And we keep hidin' what's goin on inside
But what if I share my brokenness
What if you share how you feel
And what if we weren't afraid of this crazy mess

What if we were real
What if we were real

I'm over hidin my tears
I think I'm gonna let em' go
I'm over actin so strong
When I ain't even in control
We make it so complicated
But why does it have to be
Why can't we open our hearts and let everybody see

We keep tryin to make it look so nice
And we keep hidin' what's goin on inside
But what if I share my brokenness
What if you share how you feel
And what if we weren't afraid of this crazy mess

What if we were real

We'd think a little less of ourselves
We'd care about someone else
'Cause we'd know just how they feel
Maybe we could let someone love us
Maybe we'd a little more like Jesus
Why can't we learn to real

Na,na,na,na,na,na,na(yeah,yeah)
Na,na,na,na,na,na,na

We keep tryin to make it look so nice
And we keep hidin' what's goin on inside
But what if I share my brokenness
What if you share how you feel
And what if we weren't afraid of this crazy mess

What if we were real

You've got to be real
You've got to be real
You've got to be real
You've got to
You've got to

Na,na,na,na,na,na,na
Na,na,na,na,na..

Meditation Mondays - Beautiful Messes

Today I am going to do something a little different. I am going to share with you a song. I know that it isn't Wednesday but this song has really been my go too this week. I love it so much. One thing I love about the message of this song is that no one is perfect. We all scars and baggage but we can lay it down at the foot of the cross. We can give it to God because we aren't broken or lost we are just beautiful messes. Hope you enjoy this song today. Let it encourage you as it has me.

Are you spinning in a ladder that keeps on telling you
That you're not good enough
And when you're looking in the mirror
Do you see someone impossible to love?

Full of fragile broken pieces
We're all rough around the edges

We ain't perfect no
We ain't even close
We got holes in our hearts
We got scars we don't show
But all that baggage we
Keep on dragging around
Anytime we start laying down

Lay it down at the foot of the cross
Give it to the one who can carry it all
Even at our worst, to him we ain't lost causes
Just beautiful messes

We're all David's we're all Mary's
We've been liars, thieves and everything between
But don't forget God used the misfits just like us
To do the most amazing things

So bring your thoughts, your flaws, your secrets
And watch him use those broken pieces

We ain't perfect no
We ain't even close
We got holes in our hearts
We got scars we don't show
But all that baggage we
Keep on dragging around
Anytime we start laying down

Lay it down at the foot of the cross
Give it to the one who can carry it all
Even at our worst, to him we ain't lost causes
Just beautiful messes

No matter where you are right now
Let thy grace come pouring down
It won't matter no
No it won't

We ain't perfect no
We ain't even close
We got holes in our hearts
We got scars we don't show
But all that baggage we
Keep on dragging around
Anytime we start laying down

Lay it down at the foot of the cross
Give it to the one who can carry it all
Even at our worst, to him we ain't lose causes
Ooh lay it down at the foot of the cross
Give it to the one who can carry it all
Even at our worst, to him we ain't lost causes
Just beautiful messes
Beautiful messes, yeah

Worship Wednesdays - Mended

Here is a song that has been so encouraging lately. We see ourselves like what we have done but God sees us as what He has done. Let this be encouraging to you today.

How many times can one heart break?
It was never supposed to be this way
Look in the mirror, but you find someone you never thought you'd be

Oh, but I can still recognize
The one I love in your tear stained eyes
I know you might not see him now, so lift your eyes to me

When you see broken beyond repair
I see healing beyond belief
When you see too far gone
I see one step away from home

When you see nothing but damaged goods
I see something good in the making
I'm not finished yet
When you see wounded, I see mended

You see your worst mistake
But I see the price I paid
There's nothing you could ever do, to lose what grace has won

So hold on, it's not the end
No, this is where love's work begins
I'm making all things new
And I will make a miracle of you

When you see broken beyond repair
I see healing beyond belief
When you see too far gone
I see one step away from home

When you see nothing but damaged goods
I see something good in the making
I'm not finished yet
When you see wounded, I see mended

I see my child, my beloved
The new creation you're becoming
You see the scars from when you fell
But I see the stories they will tell

You see worthless, I see priceless
You see pain, but I see a purpose
You see unworthy, undeserving
But I see you through eyes of mercy

When you see broken beyond repair
I see healing beyond belief
You're not too far gone
You're one step away from home

When you see nothing but damaged goods
I see something good in the making
I'm not finished yet, no
When you see wounded, I see mended

Ooh, I see mended
Woah, oh I see mended
I'm not finished yet
When you see wounded, I see mended

Meditation Mondays - Be Consistent in The Word

Today I would like to talk about how Satan wants to try and keep you from spending time in The Word. It makes him mad when we spend time in prayer or doing our devotions. I know for me it has been a struggle to be consistent with doing my devos every day. Sometimes I feel guilty or like I failed. On facebook I follow a group of ladies that are so encouraging. They remind me that even if I am behind to just pick it up wherever I am and press on. One of my friends on there recently told me "make Satan mad today and just do your devotions." So I encourage you today that if you are struggling with being consistent with spending time in The Word you are not alone. One thing that may help you is get an accountability partner. It can be a friend, a family member, or a co-worker. Have them just check in with you each day to encourage you or remind you that spending time doing your devos is important. Also feel free to check in with me. I'd love to hear about with God is teaching you through His Word. You can find me on my facebook page and message me there or leave a comment on this post. One final thing I will leave you with today is this. My prayer is that you and I become consistent in studying The Word and growing in our faith and relationship with Him.

Blessings and Shalom,
